The choke setups on the 1406 are horrible. Nothing like your trusty Q jet. Then you are forking out money on a carb that's really no better than what you have right now. I bought a 1406 for my 84 C 20 everyone said they go right out of the box, Well the go bang bang thru the carb cause it's way to lean so right off the batt. I need a $100.00 jet kit to get my $450.00 carb to run right. See why I hate them I have over 550.00 into a carb that needs th echoke to be readjusted every couple of weeks because the weather tepm bounces 15c. My dad and I both bought them at the same time. Both of us wish we would have left them on the shelf.
