There is no provisions for a mechanicle fuel pump on the new engines.
There is a bolt missing on the ends of the heads that may or may not be missed with your acc set up. (I can't remember which hole it is that is missing)
Then there is the dedicated intake you will need, along with special (96 and up) intake gaskets.
That should be all the draw backs of using a vortec engine.
