Go to a moving and storage company and have them weigh it. I had to do the same
thing several years ago when I bought a pick up out of state and registered it in
Calif. It only cost me $5.00 or 10.00 to have it done and they gave me a weight
reciept that I could take to the Department of Motor Vehicles. Oh, by the way:
65 GMC long box w/ 305 V-6 & 4-speed = 4200 lbs.
