From what I've heard, they don't work so well for daily drivers, something about them running at constant speed and not having enough flow at longtime highway speeds. But that may be pure BS. I'd just check the flow ratings and compare to a stock pump. One other thing though, the water pump really doesn;t use much power, they turn pretty easy and its a centrifugal pump, pretty efficient. A comparison could be made by finding the HP required for the electric pump.

I'm seriously looking at the electric fans though, just for the power.
