That is all great information with the following exception: 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive power boxes are NOT the same. The pitman arm swings in a different arc and you cannot just change the position of the pitman arm on the shaft to change this. The pitman arm and shaft on a 4x4 are splined so that it will only go together one way. The reason that you have a 2x4 box an a crossover steering setup is that you need to use that arc in order for the crossover to work. Pont has a great description of this on the 4x4 board.
