I used oak for my dash and glovebox door and it has held up pretty well. My only mistake was not coating the back side of the dash and it has since split. I made a new one that is not in yet and coated the back of it. Like Randy and everyone else said though, its difficult to get it all to fit, but if you are patient it will come together. The door panels would look really nice. I'm going to trim my headliner in oak too if I ever get around to it. Good luck, Jeff.
