It sounds like your rear cables are stuck or there is not enough travel, the e-brake link lever/arm shuld retract back behind the shoe when released, if the strut is spreading the shoes apart there is not enough slack somehow. That is how it applies the e-brake, by manually spreading the shoes apart. So in essence the brake is being "applied" somehow by the rear cables being stuck or some cables are too short. You do have '66 rear cables,, right? Brian
