hrmm, well yall seem to be sayin what everyone else.. including myself have thought. I agree about the daily driver thing, a vehicle thats been restored right would be so nice.. I'd hate to ruin it by putting it in the rain hehe. My delimma right now, and its probablly a trivial one being that we have too many cars already, is that my '97 ford is having problems that the dealership can't find. Its slow, gets bad gas mileage.. typical ford. I see myself dragging this thing by the leash all over town for 5 years, and really have lost my taste for new cars. So.. I've been looking at buying classics as daily drivers, but as you've all pointed out, it can't always be trusted IMO either. I've taken 142 pictures of my C10 so far and all we've done is stripped it to the frame, blasted the frame, painted it and put the front suspension on.
A friend of mine was at the super chevy show last year looking for a nice 80s k5 to make a daily driver, the prices were REALLY high, but I remember the trucks looking like new. Perhaps I should take a closer look this time.
