You can actually replace the hinge stop without removing the hinge. If you have an old hinge with a good stop and you can fit your hand inside the door, you can:
1. drive out the roll pin
2. remove the metal stop piece from inside the door and
3. remove the little hard vinyl like pads.

Install in the reverse order. I replaced both of mine in this way.
