Both ends of the cable were square. I'm talkin the cable it's self, not the housing.Just like the one you pictured...

Tomorow, i'll look at mine and see if I am mistaken on cable length...and see if there is a way I could use a 4 footer if mine was shorter.
What would you want for that?
