the plastic trim ring should not make any differance in ease of theft! It is just a 1/4 wide piece of plasic that the cage slides through. The tabs on the metal cage sandwich the cage into the hole in the dash with the trim ring in between. Any decent stereo shop can get these if they don't stock them. I own a mobile car stereo shop and can get you one if you can't find one!

9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!
