The Blazer I removed it from was a winter driver that was driven up until the previous owner couldn't get a state inspection sticker for it anymore. The body was "really rough". That's why he stopped using it. I only drove it up and down the street once then into the garage before I tore it apart but it did shift Ok and didn't slip so I held on to it figuring sooner or later someone one would be able to use it. That's all I can really tell you about it.
I'm not exactly sure what adapter would be needed or where to get one.
It would be up to you to decide if you want to take a chance on driving this far for a used tranny. If you want to wait to see if you can find one closer, it's not a problem. If you don't find another one it will be here if you want it.
