I have seen trucks like yours, with the grille area painted white, like factory, but I don't think black is the color to do that with. I'd paint the entire truck black, and let the chrome trim be the accent. If your truck was painted a lighter color, I'd go with white for the grille area, but not red.

Early Classic Enterprises redid a '68, and made it solid red, with the factory trim. It looks really nice. So, my vote is for solid black with factory trim.
