Re: lets see your collection

Here is my stuff:
The yellow car is a 1972 Malibu I bought in 1984, 2 weeks before I had a driver's license. It has working AC (R12). I put a 350 in it in 1989 in place of the 307 which I still own. In the late 90s I put power disc brakes on it from my (RIP) 1971 Monte Carlo. I kept the old, non-power brake stuff. I don't have a better picture on this computer. A plane jane 1972 307 Malibu, built in June of 1972, with manual drum brakes isn't worth much in 2005 but it isn't for sale either. Some day, with all the cloned SSes out there an all original Malibu will have some value. If it doesn't I don't care. Where is your first car?

The blue car is a 1971 Malibu convertible I bought in 1989. It was red when I bought it. I saw my favorite color hiding under the poor resale red paint job. I quickly restored it to the original Medium Blue Metallic. It is all original except for the repaint. The original 307 with working factory AC (R12) are still all there. It also has power drum brakes. This is the first car I ever saw with power drums.

The truck I just put a new hood and fender on. Because they turned out so well I'm stuck having to paint the rest of the truck now. I was only stopped this fall by weather too cold to paint in.
