Been runnin' mine for four years, with never a problem. The divorced choke required me to buy the new parts and install it, but that has worked great, too.

It is soooooo much better than the 600cfm Edelbrock model 1405, for my purposes. Better mileage, better performance.

On any carburetor, if you screw in the idle air adjustment screws and go too deep/bottom them out too hard, you can cut little grooves into the needle end and that will make it very difficult to adjust. If those needle screws have grooves cut into them, get a new pair and see if isn't better.
