Re: hub cap ID and I6 ID

So there will be clearance problems on an L6 w/ a 4Bbl carb and new P/Bk Booster? More pronounced with a 292? My pickup has standard [drum] brakes, but I'm thinking of a 292 and power brakes in some future projects.
I traded out the 14" K&N 'sombrero' air cleaner from the old 292 and put it on the V8 350 [w/600CFM] in the '71 Jimmy, and moved the 12" K&N 'sombrero' to the new L6 292 w/ 500 CFM. Could I get by with a 10" x 5" tall K&N (if they make such a creature) in say a 292 [or bored .060-over, 301"]-powered '72 K/5 w/ P/S + P/Bks ? The Jimmy has factory P/Bks + P/S on a V8. No clearance problems there.
