Chrome8, you can look up the part number in the price list section of the old books, and it will tell you what group number it's in, and you might be able to find it that way. Some price books will also give a single-digit code number that will tell you which, if any, other GM division used that part.

My '69 Chevrolet price book did not show that number at all, but it might have been used by another division.
