I just did one last week on a Dana 44 that had been sitting in the Washington rain for years, the axle was out in the back yard so it was fairly easy. 3 wacks w/ 18lb sledge hammer from the bottom side and all 3 cones came lose. If your axle is still bolted up to you truck it will be harder. Soak the cones in penatrating oil before you start.
