Why is 2" the max on suspension?
I ordered 4" springs and put blocks and an add-a-leaf in the rear to level things out and am running 33" tires. Body lifts are O.k, but the only thing you're gaining is a higher body and ability to put on bigger tires. If you want increased travel, spring lift is the best way to go. It all depends on what your gonna use your truck for.
You asked about installation of body lifts? They are very easy to install and can be done in an afternoon with a couple of friends who have good backs. I agree with the others about lifting the bumpers and covering the body gap. If you do go with a body lift, it looks best to cover that gap up.
