Well, by now I'm sure you know about bending one end of your filler rod in a 90 degree angle about 1" or so from the end. That way you don't pick up the wrong end. I learned that one the hard way.
I was welding a bunch of 1/2" square tubing together one time and reached across to weld another joint and rested my arm on a piece I had welded 2 minutes before. Still have the 1/2" wide stripe on my wrist to remind me!
Glad to hear you didn't roast your weiner! That would've been painful - to read about even... Be more careful next time!!!
