Oh, I hear you on that new car tag thing... My 2005 GMC tag was over $800 (Cheap since I live in the county. Would have been $1300 plus at my old address.) Which leads me to another question: Why are our roads SO crappy? Virginia roads were nice and my new Impala SS tags were $35 back in 1995!

Am I reading that right? $1300 a year to register a new vehicle? Or is that a one time only fee?
