what he said....you will need an adaptor......there is no CHEAP way to do it....it can be done relatively inexpensively....but not completely with parts from a pick and pull.....honestly the cheapest of the cheap ways might be to do a body swap onto a late model as anything else (at least that I have come across) will either involve adaptors and an NV4500 or replacing multiple parts of the drivetrain.....If I am wrong...PLEASE let me know....as I would like to do a similar swap.
An aux. overdrive might be the easiest method....but to cut down on the adaptors you will need a divorced unit like Vtblazer has....and he still have to have a $300 shorty slip yoke fabbed up.
