tom, all the GM 5 speeds I'm aware of are rail shifted so they dont even use your style shifter. the 5 speeds that DO use a mechanical shifter are high priced DNE(doug nash), and Richmond units. the 7/8" munchies were not the greatest for performance use but I dont think you are drag racing your rig anyway so why not consider a 80's model Camaro 5 speed that are starting to get plentiful. you might be surprised what you can get for even an old ailing munchie like yours.
