Years ago an old guy stopped me at a gas station and told me he remembers when Peter's Chev (our old dealership) had a line up of these ugly (his words) lime trucks in the lot. He figured there were 5-10 there, all the same. I have seen a total of 5 in our area over the years, and just assumed that a Prince Albert company special ordered a batch for whatever reason. A springtime special or whatever could be the reason too. I find this very interesting. Anyone think calling GM would help? I thought I heard they had some type of restoration help number or something??

Hi HeavyD.. My glove box door is chromed so there is no data plate on it. However I did write to GM last year and got the "45.00 info package" for my truck from them and found out my truck started life dark green and white.. The story goes that a man in Alberta redid this truck for his daughter years back. I do have his name and number but have never called him, maybe I will do that one cold day this winter. He must have done it right cause there is no green anywhere on the truck..
