One more point is that our crude oil AKA Alaskan crude, is pretty nasty stuff. It takes alot more refining to get it broke down thus costing more money. I look at it this way. I'd rather buy from them and keep ours for hard times in the future. The oil reserves in Alaska won't hold out forever. Now what would happen after we've used up all of ours and then had to go to war. Look at what's happened after we darn near depleted our forests. Forests can regrow but oil takes a tag longer.
