Rbauer, the 327 should bolt right up to the same transmission. The original right side motor mount for the 292 was kicked forward a few inches, but if someone put a 250 in it then the 327 should drop right in the same mounts too. The clutch and flywheel from the 250 should also fit the 327. Sometime in the 67-72 bodystyle they started moving the V8 engines closer to the front, but even so it should still fit. The dist may be very close to the firewall, but there should be plenty of room for a point distributor. An HEI dist might be too big. The 327 engine was a factory option in the pickups since 1966(some say late 1965).
