I just sent mine out and am getting it back today, I just narrowed mine 4" each side. Shortening a rear housing requires a Jig to make sure all is square, having the rear housing shortened isnt all that expensive labor wise, $129 but axles do cost roughly $325+ you will need housing ends, roughly $80, & new bearings and seals, if you decide to upgrade your housing ends and axles to a non C-Clip style setup look to spend $500+. Depending on the rim/tire combo your using new rims may be cheaper. If the tires are wider than what would normally go on a 10" rim than you probally need to shorten the diff as I am doing.
