I had the same setup as above but I lost the spring also. I like to break motormounts and then the engine hopping would cause my shifting linkage to break all the time. I ended up fixing the motor mounts one last time and then welded to bolts the the plate that bolts to the transmission. This way i could screw nuts on over the other bracket and keep the hole dang thing nice and tight. Just a suggestion.
