I'm pretty sure you can get a 3:1 kit for the 203 range box from Wagoner Machine Shop for less money. The 3:1 205 is pretty bling, but...expensive.
That's what I would do if I was in the market for a doubler...but I'm not.
I offroaded just fine with a SM465 and Rockwell T221 (well, til it exploded) and didn't ever want to go lower. Unless I move to Colorado or Arizona, and have rocks to crawl on, lol.
