Something to think about: AZ has a LOT of REALLY nice whether. Think about a Blazer. 1st Generation (67-72) look the best to me, and have the full removeable top. After '75, only the rear half comes off. 4wd would be really nice when you get off-road up in the mountains.

Something to think about if you get all the way back to a 1st gen is that the '71 was the first model with front disc brakes, they'll stop you much more quickly.
