Couple things here, one is to use an X-pipe or and H-pipe, these do help keeping the noise down, the other might be using the new HushPower 2 mufflers by flowmaster, they have a nice compact design and according to their sight, they have less interior resonance, I ran the big block 70 series on my small block last year and they where pretty tame cruising and you deffinately new it when you got into it, they also had a nice idle tone, but with thte cam in mine it's pretty hard not to get noticed.
