My truck had 15x8's all the way around, when the conversion was done. The front tires were then sticking out, just outside of the fender line. They also had a tendency to rub the inside of the wheel opening at times. I didn't leave them on there but for one day, since I had another truck with similar (same design/different brand) 15x7's. It solved the problem for me.
So, yes. Changing to discs will add to the width of the front track. But, it ain't something that can't be dealt with.
