i'm sorry i don't have an answer to your question, but there are some other posts from people who bought the same setup in the reviews forum. you might be able to PM them for info if nobody responds.
i'm skipping this setup entirely. i bought an MP3 player and an FM modulator, i'm going to use the pioneer tape deck my truck came with and play mp3's through it
