Besides having greater strength for handling the binding that comes from full lockers front and rear, the beauty of the LoMax NP205 gear set is the crawl ratio. With an SM465:

1st 6.32 x 3:1 xfer x 4.11 R&P = 77.9 final crawl ratio.

78 to 1 makes ample gearing "room" for over 35" tires.

Compare with stock crawl ratio:

6.32 x 1.96 x 4.11 = 50.1

Less weight, too. Expect less driveshaft breakage & u-joint wear than with doublers since a rear driveshaft behind a LoMax alone is longer and has less severe operating angles than driveshafts behind doublers.

Anyway, no one's going to talk me out of getting one.
