Wow, I guess I am definitely in the right crowd
. I only have about $9k in mine. I did body/paint and mechanical for about 18+ years so I am doing all of that on my 69. You would think that it would save lots of money (well, it does) but what you don't spend on paint job and engine rebuild, you spend on other goodies.
Mine was only going to be a cool daily driver, THATS out the window now. I guess I got carried away with the whole filling of all the factory spot welds. Now I just want to make sure that the body is perfect before I shoot it. Nothing is worse than spending time and $$$ only to have it look like Stevie Wonder did the body work.
