Cut the back of your bracket like his picture shows . Then take one of the original bolts that has the studded end from one of the first two holes . Run a 3/8 inch nut on the threads that originally went into the head . Thread the stud through the header just like a header bolt and use the nut to tighten against the header . The other end is the studded end that should be in the same place it was (same spacing) as when it was originally installed in the cast iron manifolds . Then you can place the bracket over the stud , use another nut to secure it to the stud , and it should be good to go . This is how I di the A/C on my 77 I had in High School . I hope it makes sense because it is the easiest way that I found to mount the AC without having to buy an extra bracket . Frank
