Do you need a spring compressor? When we swapped the a arms, springs, and front disc brakes from a 74 to a 68 we didn't use a spring compressor, just put a jack underneath the spring and knocked it loose then slowly lowered it the rest of the way with the jack.. .worked like a charm all 4 times...
