I see some guys starting to check in with progress reports. So, I guess it's time to clean up hands and put away tools for the weekend.
Myself,
I got the 75 model rearend converted from
leaf spring setup over to
coil spring setup using some ECE axle saddles.
Then, I installed it into the Suburban.
I also completely redid the brakes on the rearend, bead blasting and painting all hardware, along with new shoes and wheel cylinders.
I built a pair of lowering blocks for it too. See different thread on that, with pictures.
Before next weekend, I hope to blast and
paint my two rear wheels and install new tires on them, so I can get the truck on the ground.
I'm also going to shorten my driveshaft an inch. I'm going to attempt to do it myself, instead of paying a shop to do it.
Then, I need to build a new rear brake line.
Finally, I need to make a pair of shock extenders. I'm still scratching my head on this, but I'll get it done. I just have to figure out the best way to do it.
So, what did ya'll get done this weekend, and what are your next week's plans?
