Holleys are historically a race carb. Atleast in Ca that's how we do it. Apparently their float set up is not at flexible as a Quadrajet style carb. If you want to dump a ton of gas and hall butt buy a Holley. If you want to be pitched out at a gnarly angle while wheeling I would suggest a Quadrajet style carb like an Edelbrock.
