All liner installers will tell you that the liner will fade. Some have UV additives but they will fade. Makes sense that a liner in Phoenix will fade faster than Missouri. All about the amount of exposed sunlight.
The wood is a measured fit though. Line-X will spray in somewhat consistant but will add to the thickness much more than paint. Your wood may sit higher and may need to be narrowed to fit loosely and not bind on those humid days when it expands.
Just a thought.
I have Line-X in a steel bed and love it. My personal choice above all others.
