That`s Eastern White Cedar,too.Smelly cedar,in otherwords,like cedar cheats and cheap Appalachian souvenier boxes & plaques.Looks real cool!
4x4poet is absolutely correct.Line-X is in a class by itself.It it applied hot and looks like a vinyl job,like your dash pad.I had the UV additive put in my dark grey job and never saw any fade in the few years before the truck was gone.If it fades,it takes longer than you need to be concerned with.
They use amasking tape with a wire in it.It leaves a nice clean finished edge.I had Line-X put on my powdercoated ladder racks that were made of square tube,1 1/4"uprights and platform/1"rails.The Line-X was applied to the top & inside of the rails and top & sides of the patform,allwith nice clean edges.Yeah,alot of masking and it cost me.
