I think all the bolts you ask about are 3/8-16, which is coarse thread. If they had a 9/16 head on them, then they are indeed 3/8.
When you bolt her up to the engine stand, be sure to use grade 8 bolts (6 marks on the head), or you may end up with "engine on floor or toe syndrome". Also, be sure those bolts engage at least 1 1/2 diameters of threads (more than 9/16").
