Did you find this rebuild to be more expensive than say a ZZ4 Crate engine or less expensive? A new ZZ4 is around 3 -3500. I have a four bolt main sitting on a stand but felt it would be cheaper to buy than build.

I would like 350 to 400 HP as well.

Purchased this truck when I was 17. I started the rebuild (or take apart) in 1993. I have drug it around all over the country in pieces. Finally back on the road in 2021. "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do. Life's been good to me so far."
