My '72 came out of the coal mines of WV, which as I learned posed some interesting problems... Anyway, I had it loaded down HEAVY on day 1, with 2 trips, (split the load in half)... So the next day, leaving the house, I hear a pa-klink, twang, sound... there's a hole in the floor of my wood bed (plywood), the width & thickness of one of the leafs... I never did find the piece that took off, but the rest of the pieces were still under the axle... Limped her home, and took the bike to work...
My old camaro broke leafs on both side when I "got air" one night in it (isn't highschool great...) I drove it like that for 6 months before I had the money to fix them... Never had a problem with the broken leafs there...
