One of the BEST in the business with these trucks is in your state and responded to your post...EBFABMAN! You would be very fortunate to have him work on your truck if he has the time.
If you want to do some of the work yourself take two night classes at your local community college on basic auto mechanics and basic auto body and paint. Don't do anything to the truck for at least a year until you have to done your homework. UNLESS...ebfabman lays out a plan for you!
