Pertronics makes an electronic ignition that will fit into your old points-type Delco distributor. Ignitor II, I think. I'm still using points, but have the unit for later.
I have a 292 L6 with Clifford dual headers, Offy intake, Edelbrock 500 CFM AFB. I modified a throttle cable from a '72 Chevy combined with a Lokar cable to upgrade my '68 accelerator system, but it wasn't easy.
