Have you done any work to the cab as far as rockers or corner panels? If not take a look at where your hinge bolts the door side of the truck. These chevy trucks are known to crack around the hinges making it near impossilbe to line the door up correctly because it is not firm in that area making a sagging problem for ever. Also check for slack in your door hinge pins by lifting the bottom rear of the door while open to check for slack there. You will need no slack to even get started aligning the door. Also remove the door striker plate on the cab side while adjusting and then reinstall once your door is aligned. Good luck.
