Disconnecting emergency brake cables....

...how? All I have left to disconnect is the U-bolts and springs, and my differential is out! Then comes the trailing arms.

I've got about as much slack in the e-brake cable as I'm going to get, and it doesn't look like I'm even close to being able to pull one of the keyed ends out of the bracket that's holding both ends together. Is there a tool I need to use?
