If not running it through the radiator it makes no difference as long as it's a tranny line out to the aftermarket cooler and back to the tranny. I run a moroso finned aluminum cooler mounted on a cross bar ahead of the radiator. Not cheap at 179.00 but I tow and haul heavy loads.
