Thanks for all the welcomes so far. I will get some pics up within a day or so. I'm looking at getting a digital camera maybe today.
More truck details... Well I had it painted six years ago, (now I'm gonna teach myself), I installed the TBI motor, trans, and rad all at one time just prior to the paint job. I wired it up myself which took a long time cause nobody I knew at the time had done this before. I painted the inside myself to match the outside. I used a 92 GM seat, seat belts and steering wheel. The shifter for the five speed cam perfectly through the hole for the old four speed. Although I had to mount the motor in the forward position (auto trans spot) to get the shifter to be in the right spot. I torched the old four speed cross member out and used a auto trans member at the back of the five speed. I swapped yokes on the drive shaft to fit the five speed and I didn't have to touch the drive shaft length ( I don't think????). I converted it to power steering and now 14 years later I'm gonna do power brakes. I also used the hydraulic clutch for the five speed and mounted the master beside the brake master and then fabbed a new rod to go through the firewall. The clutch feel is softer than the old setup and real nice and smooth. The motor is still stock, but I'm getting ready to do a set of heads and an intake, then a cam.
I had the grill rechromed and bought a new front and rear bumper, and also had the cowl chromed. It has ten hole rallys with old caps that need refinished and new stainless beauty rings. 295/50/15's all around. Stock height with 3/4 ton springs in the back, HD's in the front, cause I haul a camper now.
All that is really left is control arm bushings and trailing arm bushings.
This is my fourth motor, fifth trans, and fourth set of gears. I used to race it so I kinda burned up alot of stuff. I don't race it anymore so the last powertrain has lasted a long time.
Oh my this is kinda long. Sorry
